Back to John Hunter today for treatment No. 2 - an intramuscular injection (asparaginase) into his thigh - we alternate legs. They hurt and Drew doesn't like them at all, it is also the first time his porta cath will be accessed. Bloods are good and he is not neutropenic (which means he has Pacmans to fight infection), we are also told that after day 8 Drew is a good responder :O). On the way home we stopped at La De Das for lunch and Drew polished off a big breakfast and an iced chocolate. In the afternoon we went and saw Tony and Drew's mates at Football NSW - they were all glad to see him.
