Tuesday, 10 November 2009 - Day +92
It is hard to believe that 13 weeks have passed since Drew's transplant. He went for a little walk tonight just down to the lake and back. Drew did yesterday and today's school work and is looking forward to going back to school next year. On Friday he will hopefully be able to skype his classmates, but due to be on steroids probably won't be able to visit them in person before the year ends.

Congratulations Drew - you must be absolutely over the moon to be out of hospital. That is really the best news we have heard for a long time. You are probably wondering why you haven't heard from us for some time now but the truth of the matter is that we are visiting the Queen - well not quite - but we are in London on a holiday. It is pretty cold where we are but my goodness what a huge place it is. There are heaps of squirrels in Hyde Park. We went to Harrods yesterday - I bought some long skins and Joey bought a new pair of boots. We've seen Buckingham Palace and we reckon we must walk about 20kms every day because it is too expensive to catch taxis. In a couple of weeks we are going to Austria to visit my dad's cousin then to Belgrade to visit the rest of his family. It will probably be snowing when we get there so we're pretty excited about that because we've never been to the snow before. We think about you and your family often and just wish for you to get better and have a normal happy life. Anyways, best of luck on your recovery, say hi to your mum, and keep smiling - because it's a great looking smile. Take care and we'll try to talk again soon.
Jacob and Joey xxx
ps. Wishing you a happy birthday for Friday
