Wednesday, 12 August - Day +2

Drew's mouth and throat were a bit sore today and the Doctors have increased his morphine. The feed through the nasogastro tube seemed to also be making him vomit (3 litres in the last 2 days). They stopped the feeds this morning and tried a different anti nausea drug on him, which seemed to do the trick. Drew had a special visit from Lawrie McKinna today and Drew gave him a song he made for the Mariners, he is going to play it to the boys before we play the Jets on Friday night. Lawrie had a few special treats for Drew which made his day.

Hey Drew!!!
I just wanted to say hello and let you know all of us in radiotherapy have been thinking of you! I hear you've been painting on windows?!?! That sounds like so much fun! I wish you could come and help us with our underwater painting we are doing on Saturday. Maybe I could send some photos to you? Do you remember how grey and miserable that big wall looked? Well it's now bright white and has lots of drawings on it. On Saturday we will putting all the colour onto it which will make it much more exciting to look at... When you're feeling better and allowed to take a wander, we'd love to see you down in radiotherapy-although I can't promise there will be crispy cremes again!! Anyway we think of you a lot and hope you're doing well. Keep strong and keep showing us all that gorgeous smile of yours! Hugs from Katie and all the others in RT. Xoxox

Hey Drew
Hope you are doing well and still smiling?
Everyone say's hello from wagga wagga.
News from the Aichinger's.
Uncle John is acting inspector for 6 weeks.
Nicholas got an award for being a caring and considerate class member.
Michael played soccer winning 5 - 4 and he scored 3 goals, he is also very excited about having a new classmember that has to wear hearing aids, her name is Tarney and she also plays soccer, so this wonderful news to Michael.
William obtained 5 ladybugs stickers to recieve a lucky dip at school so mummy and daddy were happy that he isn't fighting with anyone at the moment.
And Cameron well lets just say he is just being Cameron.
And as for me I am running around like a mad woman, hope all is well with your brothers and dad and mum.
lots of love, hugs and kisses
